Royal order transforms charity platform Ehsan into independent non-profit foundation

A Royal Order has been issued to transform Saudi Arabia’s National Platform for Charitable Work, “Ehsan,” into an independent, non-profit organization named the Ehsan Foundation for Charitable Work.

Announced on Thursday, August 20, 2026, the foundation aims to bolster the Kingdom’s non-profit sector by streamlining donations and connecting donors directly with eligible beneficiaries. Originally established in 2021 by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), Ehsan will now operate independently to enhance charitable efficiency across social, educational, and healthcare fields.
