A 55-year-old Bahraini woman is currently on trial at the High Criminal Court, facing charges of assaulting public security officers, resisting arrest, and interfering with official duties. The incident unfolded when officers from the Anti-Cybercrime Directorate arrived at the defendant’s residence to execute a warrant. After she refused to open the door and insulted the officers, police were ordered to break it down, according to testimonies presented in court.
Once inside, the woman reportedly wielded a broken glass and attacked the responding officers, inflicting cuts and back injuries on two policemen. Following her apprehension, she allegedly unlocked her handcuffs at the police station and assaulted a female officer, causing torn ligaments. The defendant has admitted to the charges, and a final court verdict is scheduled for October 13.
