GCC Secretary General Jasem Albudaiwi has issued a sharp condemnation following a drone attack on an Emirati oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz. The vessel, belonging to the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), was targeted while transiting international waters, an act the GCC describes as a flagrant threat to regional security and the global energy supply. While no injuries were reported on the vessel, the Council has pledged full solidarity with the UAE in any sovereign measures it takes to protect its maritime assets.
