Oman eases job transfers for expats lacking registered contracts

A new labor regulation in Oman allows expatriates to transfer to a new employer if their current sponsor fails to register their work contract within 30 days of permit renewal. This automatic right to transfer is intended to enhance worker mobility and ensure that all foreign staff are legally protected by registered documentation. The Ministry of Labour warned that non-compliant employers risk losing their staff permanently if they ignore the 30-day registration window. Source: Multiplier / Oman Ministry of Labour
