Saudi foreign minister affirms Jerusalem protection as cornerstone for lasting peace

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan addressed the Ministerial Meeting in support of Jerusalem and its Holy Sites in Amman on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. He affirmed that safeguarding Jerusalem and its holy sites remains a fundamental pillar for achieving a just and lasting peace in the Middle East.

Speaking before members of the Arab Ministerial Committee, Prince Faisal called on the international community to take concrete measures to halt ongoing violations in Gaza and the West Bank, emphasizing the necessity of preserving the historical and legal status of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
