A major UAE humanitarian campaign to prepare more than 10 million meals for families in Gaza has been officially renamed the Ahmed bin Rashid Humanitarian Bridge, honouring the philanthropic legacy of the late Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Organised by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) in collaboration with the UAE’s Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, the initiative commemorates the late leader’s lifelong commitment to charitable work and community service.

The campaign will host a large-scale public packing event on Saturday, September 26, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, bringing together volunteers and community members to assemble food parcels for Gaza’s most vulnerable families and children. MBRGI Secretary-General Mohammed Al Gergawi highlighted that the initiative reflects the country’s enduring culture of humanitarian solidarity while encouraging widespread volunteerism and civic participation across the UAE.
