US Middle East defense deployments reach $38 billion

An official US congressional assessment released on Wednesday reported that recent defense operations and interceptor deployments in the Middle East have cost the Pentagon roughly $38 billion. The report noted that replenishing advanced missile stocks and air defense munitions expanded during regional operations could require up to five years.
