Qatar Stock Exchange index opens higher as transport and telecom sectors gain

The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index gained 70.80 points, or 0.70 percent, to reach 10,163 points at the start of trading on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. Early trading volume reached 37.25 million shares across 4,807 transactions, totaling QR 76.89 million.

Sectoral performance was led by Transport (+1.11%) and Telecoms (+1.02%), with additional support from Industrials (+0.76%), Real Estate (+0.63%), and Banking services (+0.53%).
