Qatar and Turkiye defense ministers discuss strengthening military cooperation

Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani, held a phone call with Turkiye’s Minister of National Defense, Yasar Guler, on Monday, August 17, 2026.

During the conversation, the two defense officials discussed various topics of mutual interest and explored ways to further enhance and develop strategic military cooperation between Doha and Ankara.
