Qatar categorically denies capturing three Iranian pilots

Qatar has categorically denied claims made by Iran that three Iranian pilots were captured after their fighter jets were downed during a military operation.

In response to statements sent by Iranian military officials to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Qatar’s Foreign Affairs spokesperson Majed Mohammed Al Ansari called the claims misleading. While acknowledging that contact had been attempted after the pilots violated Qatari airspace, authorities confirmed that no response was received and denied holding them captive.
