Bahrain has strongly condemned the continued deliberate attacks by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia, specifically denouncing recent attempts to target the cities of Taif and Yanbu with ballistic missiles. In an official statement, the Bahraini Foreign Ministry described the actions as a dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter that threatens broader regional stability.
The ministry affirmed Bahrain’s full solidarity with Riyadh, emphasizing that Saudi Arabia’s security is an integral component of Bahrain’s own national security. Officials praised the Royal Saudi Air Defence Forces for successfully intercepting the recent missile strikes and reiterated calls for the UN Security Council to take a firm stance against the continuous targeting of civilian areas. Bahrain urged the international community to implement relevant resolutions, particularly Resolution 2216, to end the use of proxies and ensure regional peace.
