Dubai Police have seized 408 electric scooters, e-bikes, and bicycles during a targeted road safety campaign in the Gold Souk area of Naif. The initiative, led by the Naif Police Station in coordination with the General Department of Traffic, resulted in the confiscation of 300 electric scooters, 50 electric bicycles, and 58 traditional bicycles after riders were caught violating local traffic laws.

Legal action has been initiated against the violators as part of a broader effort to enforce compliance and mitigate the risk of traffic accidents. Expert Brigadier Omar Mousa Ashour, director of the Naif Police Station, emphasized the importance of adhering to designated riding paths, wearing appropriate protective gear, and following safety regulations. He warned that riding in unauthorized areas confuses motorists and poses a significant risk of severe accidents.
In addition to strict enforcement, the campaign focused heavily on public education. Over 900 individuals benefited from the station’s awareness activities, which included the distribution of safety equipment and supplies to workers in the area to encourage responsible and preventive practices on the road.
