Bahrain Ministry of Transportation introduces remote technical inspection for maritime vessels

Bahrain’s Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications launched a remote technical inspection service for small boats and jet skis on Wednesday. The service enables vessel owners to complete mandatory safety inspections via video calls on the Small Ships Registration Portal.

Undersecretary for Ports and Maritime Affairs Bader Hood Al Mahmood stated that the initiative forms part of Bahrain’s broader digital transformation drive to streamline government procedures and reduce operational processing times for maritime transport.
