Iran’s football federation has formally requested Fifa’s assistance in securing multiple-entry US visas for its national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup. With geopolitical tensions between Tehran and Washington complicating travel logistics, the federation has opted to relocate its training camp to Tijuana, Mexico. Despite the venue shift for training, Iran remains scheduled to play its Group G matches in Los Angeles and Seattle. Federation president Mehdi Taj emphasized that the team is finalizing preparations despite the ongoing visa hurdles, with their opening match against New Zealand set for June 15.
