Archeologists in the Al-Baha region of Saudi Arabia have uncovered the structural remains of an ancient mosque dating back to the 1st century AH (7th century CE).

The discovery highlights the early Islamic architectural history and settlement patterns in the southwestern Arabian Peninsula.
