Kuwait grants three-month absence permit for stranded residents

Residents currently outside Kuwait who have exceeded the permitted six-month absence limit due to regional airspace closures have been granted a three-month grace period. The Ministry of Interior stated that these individuals will be exempt from fines and their residency status will be automatically protected until August 2026. This measure aims to prevent the cancellation of residency for skilled workers unable to return on time. Source: Fragomen / KUNA
