Kuwait and Indonesia forge strategic energy alliance to secure global supply chains amid uncertainties

Amidst an environment of global geopolitical and economic uncertainty, Kuwait and Indonesia are moving to fortify international supply chains through a deepened energy partnership. In a high-level meeting in Jakarta, Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and Kuwaiti Ambassador Khaled Al-Yassin solidified commitments to expand bilateral energy security cooperation. A cornerstone of this alliance is the active participation of the Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) in eight major oil and gas exploration projects across the Indonesian archipelago. The partnership reflects a forward-thinking strategy by both nations to stabilize energy markets and foster resilient, cross-border economic growth.
