Oman Volleyball Association confirms national team readiness for Asian Championship in Japan

The Oman Volleyball Association (OVA) has officially confirmed that the national first team is fully prepared for the upcoming Asian Volleyball Championship, taking place in Japan from September 4 to 13, 2026. The tournament features Asia’s top teams, including host nation Japan, Iran, China, South Korea, Qatar, and Australia.

Following their recent victory at the West Asian Volleyball Championship in Muscat, acting Secretary-General Yousuf Al Badwawi stated that the team has undergone rigorous physical and tactical preparation under Tunisian head coach Nizar Chekili. The championship will serve as an essential benchmark for improving Oman’s global ranking and international exposure.
