Saudi Arabia’s National Center for Meteorology has issued a red alert for heavy rain and possible flash floods in parts of Al-Baha as thunderstorms and strong winds are forecast across several regions on Monday.
The red alert covers Al-Qara, Al-Mandaq, Baljurashi and Bani Hassan in Al-Baha from noon until 8pm. An orange alert is also in effect for several other areas, with forecasts warning of strong winds, reduced visibility, hail and flash floods.
Moderate to heavy thunderstorms are also expected in parts of Jazan, Asir, Makkah and Madinah. Residents in affected areas have been advised to remain alert as weather conditions develop.
