His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has officially approved the appointment of 717 Emirati citizens across various municipal departments and government institutions. This newly approved cohort joins 633 UAE nationals who were integrated into the emirate’s public sector during the first five months of 2026, bringing the cumulative total of state-backed job placements for citizens to 1,350 this year.

The sweeping employment directive reflects Sharjah’s ongoing commitment to expanding institutional workforce participation, accelerating domestic talent development, and embedding qualified national professionals into key economic roles. Municipal officials stated that the initiative is designed to fulfill long-term social stability frameworks and ensure steady economic opportunities for the local workforce.
