GCC member states and Jordan demand UN Security Council intervention over regional attacks

All member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Jordan have issued a unified declaration strongly condemning ongoing drone and missile attacks on their territories and civilian infrastructure. The joint statement highlights strikes targeting energy facilities, water desalination plants, ports, and airports across Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan.

The seven nations emphasized their inherent right to individual or collective self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter. They officially called upon the UN Security Council to issue an urgent resolution demanding an immediate cessation of hostile attacks and urged international recognition of affected states’ defense rights.
