The League of Arab States and the GCC have issued a joint declaration rejecting recent Houthi attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea, including the assault on the Saudi-flagged tanker ENCELIA. Both organizations warned that threats to maritime navigation undermine international trade stability.
Supported by international partners and the EU, the Arab League urged immediate compliance with UN Security Council Resolutions safeguarding the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. The alliance reaffirmed its commitment to supporting member states’ measures to protect global supply lines and maritime sovereignty.
