In response to escalating threats in the Red Sea, the Saudi-led Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen has carried out targeted military strikes against Houthi rebel sites. Major General Turki Al-Malki confirmed the operations, describing the Houthi attacks on commercial vessels as a severe threat to global shipping corridors. The coalition emphasized that the strikes were strictly aimed at legitimate military targets and that Yemeni ports, including Hodeidah, remain open for commercial shipping. The military response aims to protect vital maritime routes while complying with international humanitarian law.
