President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received the credentials of 18 newly appointed ambassadors to the UAE at a ceremony in Abu Dhabi.
The ambassadors represent Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Austria, Ireland, Slovenia and Lithuania, as well as South Korea, Mauritania, Gabon, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, the Maldives, the Marshall Islands and Haiti.
Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the diplomats and wished them success in their assignments, highlighting the UAE’s continued focus on strengthening international partnerships.
The ceremony comes as the UAE seeks to deepen economic, diplomatic and investment links with a wide range of countries.
For the country’s large expatriate population, the expansion of diplomatic relations also has practical significance, particularly in areas such as trade, investment, education and mobility.
