The UAE’s non-oil foreign trade reached a record Dh1.94 trillion in the first half of 2026, according to Foreign Trade Minister Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi.
The figure represents annual growth of 13.1 per cent and an increase of nearly 80 per cent compared with the first half of 2022.
Non-oil exports also reached their highest level on record at Dh453 billion, according to figures presented at the Hili Forum in Abu Dhabi.
Al Zeyoudi said the performance reflected the UAE’s expanding network of trade partnerships and its investment in infrastructure, technology and new industries.
The figures are particularly significant as the UAE works to keep international trade moving despite disruptions affecting some traditional regional shipping routes.
The government says it is continuing to develop alternative corridors while strengthening the country’s position as a global centre for trade, investment and technology.
