Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Rwandan President Paul Kagame held official talks in Salalah as Oman and Rwanda looked to expand their economic relationship.
The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties and identifying opportunities for cooperation and investment.
The visit is part of Oman’s wider diplomatic and economic engagement with emerging markets outside the traditional Gulf and Asian corridors.
Rwanda has been positioning itself as an East African investment and logistics hub, while Oman is seeking to strengthen its own position as a gateway linking the Gulf, Indian Ocean and East African markets.
The combination gives the relationship significance beyond traditional diplomatic ties, particularly in trade, logistics and investment.
