Kuwait tightens traffic rules for delivery drivers, warns of vehicle impoundment

Kuwait is intensifying its traffic enforcement on delivery drivers following a high-level meeting between the Ministry of Interior and representatives of various delivery companies. Held under the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, the discussions focused on strengthening road safety and ensuring strict compliance with traffic regulations among delivery personnel.

During the meeting, officials warned that traffic violations committed by delivery drivers will be met with severe legal measures. This includes the mandatory impoundment of the offending motorcycle or vehicle for a period of two months. Company representatives were reminded of their legal and operational responsibility to educate their drivers on traffic rules and road safety requirements to protect both their workers and the general public.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed that rigorous field inspections and enforcement campaigns will continue across the country as part of a broader, ongoing initiative to improve road safety, reduce accidents, and protect lives and property.
