Bahrain: Five Sentenced to Life for Iran-Linked Hostile Plots

Bahrain’s High Criminal Court has sentenced five individuals—three Bahrainis and two Afghans—to life imprisonment for plotting terrorist acts in coordination with Iran. The prosecution stated the group was involved in monitoring and photographing “vital facilities” for hostile foreign entities. The sentencing follows a broader security crackdown, including the recent revocation of citizenship for 69 individuals found to have supported hostile acts during the regional conflict.
