Etihad Rail to launch first passenger service on June 30 connecting Abu Dhabi and Fujairah

Etihad Rail is set to launch its first passenger service between Abu Dhabi and Fujairah on June 30, marking a milestone moment for the highly anticipated public transport project. Journeys on this landmark route will take just one hour and 45 minutes, authorities announced today. Further expansion is on the horizon, with stations in Dubai (Jumeirah Golf Estates) and Sharjah (Al Dhaid) scheduled to open on September 30. Additional stations in Al Dhafra and Sharjah’s University City will open in December and March respectively, reshaping public transport across the UAE.
