Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi, the former president of Yemen, has passed away in Riyadh following a sudden health crisis. Hadi, who served as Yemen’s second president from 2012 until 2022, had been residing in the Saudi capital since 2015 after being forced out of Sanaa by Houthi rebels. He oversaw a tumultuous decade in Yemeni politics before delegating his powers to the Presidential Leadership Council in April 2022. The Yemeni presidency confirmed the news on Thursday, marking the end of a pivotal figure in the country’s recent conflict history.
