Expatriates and international travelers can expect greater regional mobility as the much-anticipated GCC Grand Tours Visa enters its pilot phase in Q4 2026. Official briefings this month confirmed that the initial rollout will test a digital travel corridor between the UAE and Bahrain, allowing seamless air travel.

The unified Schengen-style visa, expected to cost around AED 350, will eventually expand to all six Gulf nations by early 2027. This development promises to drastically streamline cross-border business and leisure travel for Gulf residents, eliminating the need for multiple single-country visa applications.
