Oman’s Ministry of Labour has imposed fines totalling OMR 3.24 million and deported nearly 3,000 workers following a nationwide crackdown on labour law violations.
Announced on August 17, 2026, the inspection figures revealed that over 6,700 visits across various governorates identified more than 11,000 workers in violation of regulations. Authorities referred 4,680 cases to the Public Prosecution, reinforcing the government’s strict compliance measures within the labour market.
