The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) of Qatar has issued an official warning urging travelers to refrain from posting photos of their boarding passes on social media. The agency emphasized that such images can inadvertently expose sensitive travel details and personal data.
According to the NCSA, the printed QR codes on boarding passes can act as direct links to a passenger’s private information. While encouraging individuals to share travel moments with friends and family, authorities strongly advised travelers to completely conceal their personal information and barcodes prior to uploading any images online.
