Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education has launched the “Beacon of Knowledge” initiative in partnership with the Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services to provide comprehensive educational assistance to eligible students across private schools and kindergartens. The community-driven programme covers essential school expenses, including tuition fees, textbooks, uniforms, transport, and digital devices, while also introducing a 30 percent tuition discount for qualifying graduates enrolling at Lusail University. With more than 18,000 seats allocated under the community responsibility framework, authorities confirmed that support cases will be managed with strict confidentiality, allowing donors and institutions to back students in need while preserving family privacy.
