Qatar private sector targets 20% nationalization for 2026

As part of the Third National Development Strategy (NDS3), Qatar has set a new target to increase Qatari participation in the private sector workforce to 20% by the end of 2026. Companies that meet these targets will receive preferential access to government tenders and financial incentives. The Ministry of Labour emphasized that this ‘nationalization’ push is intended to run parallel with, rather than replace, high-skilled expatriate talent recruitment. Source: Ministry of Labour / QNA
