Saudi Arabia: Rail ‘Landbridge’ Fast-Tracked to Bypass Strait of Hormuz

Saudi Arabia is accelerating the development of the Saudi Landbridge and Northern Corridor, a 1,700 km rail link designed to transport cargo from Eastern Province ports to the Jordanian border. The project aims to create a secure intermodal supply chain that bypasses the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb. Concurrently, the TT Club has extended war risk insurance for containers on land across the Kingdom to ensure safe passage for goods amid the regional conflict.
