Saudi Arabia and South Korea sign massive energy infrastructure and storage pact

Saudi Arabia has solidified a major international partnership after signing a comprehensive memorandum of understanding with South Korea to dramatically expand bilateral cooperation across the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors. Signed in Riyadh by Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman and his South Korean counterpart, the agreement establishes deep collaboration on infrastructure development, including the expansion of Saudi crude oil storage within South Korea’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve. The pact also maps out significant joint ventures in pipeline construction, digital transformation, and sustainable energy R&D. For the white-collar expatriate engineering and project management community in the Kingdom, the massive bilateral commitment signals a robust long-term pipeline of heavy industrial projects and corporate employment opportunities.
