The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has announced the comprehensive nationwide activation of its upgraded electronic attestation system, eDAS 2.0, effective June 9, 2026. The advanced platform completely replaces the legacy eDAS 1.0 version, which has been officially decommissioned. MoFA has directed all corporate entities, chambers of commerce, and logistics providers to transition their operations entirely to the new interface for the attestation of commercial invoices and certificates of origin. The implementation of eDAS 2.0 is part of the UAE’s broader digital governance framework, aimed at streamlining cross-border documentation, enhancing institutional transparency, and accelerating smart transactional processing for the private sector.
