Landmark UAE-Ukraine comprehensive economic partnership agreement takes effect with major tariff cuts

The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the United Arab Emirates and Ukraine has officially come into full effect today, July 1, 2026. The historic trade pact eliminates or significantly reduces tariffs on a wide array of goods and services, aiming to dramatically accelerate bilateral trade volumes and unlock new pathways for cross-border investment.

Economic analysts project that the trade deal will provide a substantial $1.24 billion boost to the UAE’s gross domestic product (GDP) over the coming years.
