The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the United Arab Emirates and Ukraine has officially come into full effect today, July 1, 2026. The historic trade pact eliminates or significantly reduces tariffs on a wide array of goods and services, aiming to dramatically accelerate bilateral trade volumes and unlock new pathways for cross-border investment.
Economic analysts project that the trade deal will provide a substantial $1.24 billion boost to the UAE’s gross domestic product (GDP) over the coming years. The agreement covers key sectors such as agricultural logistics, supply chain infrastructure, digital tech manufacturing, and heavy industries, further positioning the UAE as a critical global trade gateway amid evolving international market dynamics.
