The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has issued a strict reminder to companies that modifying an employee’s salary, job title, or nature of work requires the worker’s explicit written consent. Employers must process these updates via the Ministry’s ‘Modification of Work Permits / Employment Contracts’ digital service. Any unapproved changes carry no legal effect and are considered null and void under UAE labor laws.
