India summons Iranian diplomat after Indian sailor killed in Strait of Hormuz tanker strike

The Indian government has summoned a senior Iranian diplomat following a cruise missile strike on two Emirati-operated supertankers in the Strait of Hormuz, which resulted in the death of an Indian crew member and severe injuries to several others.

The Indian Embassy in the UAE confirmed it is closely monitoring the situation and rendering assistance to the victims. The incident, which caused significant damage to the Mombasa and Al Bahyah vessels, continues to threaten the safety of global maritime navigation and energy supplies.
