GCC and EU issue joint condemnation of maritime attacks in Gulf

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the European Union have issued a unified statement strongly condemning the recent wave of Iranian attacks on GCC nations and commercial shipping. The declaration was made during the High-Level Forum on Regional Security and Cooperation in Brussels.

Both blocs emphasized that the freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz is a protected international right. The joint statement explicitly rejected any unilateral maritime transit restrictions or the imposition of tolls on commercial vessels navigating the strait.
