Kuwait approves new route for high-speed rail link to saudi arabia

Kuwait’s Municipal Council has officially approved the route corridor for a new high-speed railway connecting the country to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The 85-km Kuwaiti section is a critical component of a larger 500-km project between the two nations, which eventually forms part of the wider 2,200-km GCC railway network. Expected to be operational by 2030, this infrastructure project is set to transform passenger and cargo movement across the Gulf, offering expatriates and residents a new, faster alternative for regional travel between Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and beyond.
