Kuwait expands Sahel App to allow GCC citizens to renew Civil IDs digitally

Kuwait’s Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) has rolled out a highly anticipated digital update, allowing Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) citizens residing in the country to renew their Civil IDs directly through the unified government application, Sahel. The comprehensive system upgrade eliminates the need for time-consuming in-person visits to government service centers, streamlining the administrative process for thousands of regional expatriates. The digital shift represents another significant step in Kuwait’s broader e-government strategy, which aims to centralize critical bureaucratic services, reduce paperwork, and provide a seamless, user-friendly experience for both citizens and foreign residents navigating local administrative requirements.
