Marriott International and Blacksand announce landmark deal to develop 10 hotels in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh-based Blacksand and Marriott International have signed a milestone agreement during the Future Hospitality Summit to develop 10 new hotels across Saudi Arabia over the next four years. The multi-brand deal will add over 1,300 rooms to the Kingdom’s hospitality sector, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s ambitious urban development and tourism goals. The planned projects, expected to generate over 6,000 full-time jobs for a majority of Saudi Nationals, will feature various Marriott brands, including St. Regis, Moxy Hotels, and Residence Inn, with the first property slated to open in Riyadh.
