Qatar: Doha Warns Against Using Strait of Hormuz as a ‘Bargaining Chip’

Qatar has issued a firm call for maritime stability, asserting that the Strait of Hormuz must not be used as leverage in stalled diplomatic talks between Washington and Tehran. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed al-Ansari emphasized that vital shipping lanes must remain insulated from geopolitical deadlock. The statement coincides with Qatar’s continued mediation efforts and its rejection of any measures that obstruct the freedom of global navigation.
