Qatar enforces mandatory midday outdoor work ban for summer season

Qatar’s Ministry of Labour has officially activated its annual summer working-hour restrictions for all open-air labor operations effective June 1. The seasonal labor mandate strictly bans any industrial or infrastructure operations in direct outdoor spaces during peak afternoon heat hours to protect workers from severe heat exhaustion and thermal injuries.

Enforcement teams from the labor inspection department have initiated nationwide field monitoring campaigns to ensure corporate compliance. The ministry has warned that violating contractors and construction firms will face immediate work-site closures, administrative suspensions, and severe regulatory fines.
