With temperatures in Mecca reaching 45°C this week, Saudi health authorities have integrated an advanced drone fleet to support the 127 medical clinics serving pilgrims during Hajj. The deployment aims to circumvent congested road networks, ensuring that essential medical supplies and provisions reach clinics in Mina and Arafat efficiently. This initiative represents a broader shift toward technology-driven Hajj management, utilizing AI, mobile platforms, and UAVs to handle the logistics of over 1.5 million visitors, ensuring crowd safety and improved health outcomes in the face of the desert climate.
