Senior defense and foreign ministry officials from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan gathered in Istanbul on August 31, 2026, for the first committee meeting under the landmark Mecca Joint Defense Agreement.

Led by Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman and Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the delegation discussed developing an institutional framework, enhancing military interoperability, and expanding joint defense production across the three partner nations.
